The Tern Valley Walks are a group of short strolls around the upper reaches of the
River Tern near to Market Drayton. (Download Introductory Leaflet)
They have been designed for the Market Drayton Taste of the Town Company to add to
the range of leisure activites and education about the local environment which the
company promotes.
The walks are special in that they include areas of the Tern Valley which are privately
owned, and so public access has been arranged at certain times by kind permission of
the landowners. We therefore ask that all walkers observe and respect the following -
PLEASE
- Leave gates as you find them (usually closed)
- Keep your dog under close control
- Don’t frighten or feed livestock
- Keep to the designated paths and areas
- Take your litter home
- Wear suitable footwear and clothing
