Miah has
been manager of the Jaipur Indian Restaurant in Shropshire St. since
2001. He has worked in restaurants since leaving school working
in the North of England before joining the family run Jaipur restaurant
in Solihull in 1995.Miah and the staff commute each day from Birmingham
into the town.
Rouf Abdul set up the original Jaipur in Shropshire St., and there
are now 18 Jaipur restaurants across the Midlands. Each is run independently.
Staff include members of the extended family. All the restaurants
are modelled on the successful style of the first Jaipur here in
Market Drayton. All the chefs and managers working in Jaipur restaurants
are first trained in Market Drayton. The restaurant has been featured
in Egon Ronay, the Michelin Guide and the 2003 Good Food Guide.
It has also received a Platinum Award for Quality Food. Innovations
in the menu and events such as buffet nights have been introduced.
A key feature of the restaurant remains the high quality of personal
service inherent in a family business. |
