Ron
runs Micron2 a local company offering specialist inspection of food
factories and consultant services for grocery retailers nationwide.
After graduation, Ron become the
first microbiologist appointed by Tesco. He then took time out to
get his Ph.D and joined Associated British Foods in their Central
Laboratories in Maidenhead. He inspected their factories for food
hygiene. He then joined Fine Fare Supermarkets testing their own
brand products and visiting their suppliers. There he developed
new skills as a chemist for food analysis. He moved to to the North
East working for Hinton a regional supermarket group when he was
head hunted as technical director for Sitoni Foods in Whitchurch
a company importing pasta. The family moved into Market Drayton.
Ron's work involved extensive travel to Italy as well as setting
up the Whitchurch Factory. When the company was taken over by Pasta
foods, Ron set out on his own as a consultant. He then joined with
a partner to form Micron2, where he found an outlet for his skills
in both chemistry and biology by creating an accredited laboratory.
