Yasmin Lawley

Yasmin Lawley

Yasmin is a complementary therapist and practices Holistic Massage and Aromatherapy, which use the oils of sweet almonds, grapeseeds and avocados as carrier oils. These, and other carrier oils, are the basics of Massage and Aromatherapy. Following a full consultation, where medical history, lifestyle and any problems that are presented are taken into account, the appropriate essential oils are selected and are specifically blended for each client. Yasmin also offeres Reflexology which relieves stress and tension, improves blood circulation, relieves trapped nervous energy, improves waste removal and elimination and activates the body's self-healing to restore balance and well-being. Yasmin has also recently qualified in Thermo Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candling) which is used to treat sinus problems, catarrh, tinnitus, vertigo, snoring, earwax problems and "glue ear". This is an extremely relaxing therapy which is beneficial to all ages and can save children from distressing operations to insert grommets. She also offers reflexology which works by easing pressure points on the foot.

Yasmin was born in a village just outside Stafford and lived on the Eld Estate. She took a Business course at Stafford College and worked as a PA to the Managing Director of Taylor Woodrow for 10 years. She then moved to Peplow and on to Buntingsdale some years ago. She worked for 3 years as PA in a local firm. Her involvement in alternative therapies began with meditation a decade ago. She became very aware of the healing power of touch and that older people often have no physical contact with another person. Physical and emotional experiences are related to each other along with a spiritual sense of the natural world. Always interested in nature and the seasons she explored the possibilities of holistic medicine and natural therapies. She has built up her practice as an alternative therapist and produces her own handmade products. Yasmin is also interested in cooking and makes mustards and preserves which are sometimes sold onto friends. She has been using e-bay since the mid-nineteen nineties to buy and sell.

Childhood Memories:

Yasmin recalls winning a baking competition with six butterfly fairy cakes with mandarins on.when she was 11 years old. The vicar's wife was the judge. When they called the winners name out Yasmin took no notice. When she realised that it was her she was shocked. Yasmin beat all the other women in the village. They were quite put out about it. The local paper headlined 'Red Faces in Derrington'.

Childhood Food and Drink
:
The morning after her mother had been entertaining Yasmin's breakfast would be a really sloppy sherry trifle. No jelly.Custard, cream, sherry and raspberries. A real English trifle
